10 Things Your Martial Arts School Must Do For You And Your Child:

Not all martial arts schools are alike in Dayton, Ohio. At the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, we have set the standard for the local martial arts market by following these ten rules:

  1. The martial arts school must be cleaned and sanitized daily.
  2. The bathrooms must be disinfected and mopped daily.
  3. The training floors must be cleaned and disinfected daily.
  4. All staff must have a background check and be routinely monitored and evaluated to maintain standards of appropriate behavior.
  5. All teaching staff must be certified to teach and demonstrate the ability to teach with enthusiasm and positive reinforcement techniques.
  6. All teaching staff must receive ongoing, weekly instruction in martial arts technique and teaching method theory and application.
  7. All students must be taught practical and effective physical and verbal self-defense techniques in every class.
  8. Testing and promotion of students should be performed fairly and consistently, with constructive feedback.
  9. All students must maintain acceptable performance and behavior at the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, at their academic school, and at home.
  10. Resources must be made available to help struggling students get extra help or coaching whenever necessary.

These 10 musts are part of our daily operational plan at the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, and are taken very seriously. Many martial arts schools in the Miami Valley and around the country have just a few or none of these standards.
