Matt Pasquinilli’s Tools For Schools Bring Focus, Fitness, and Fun To Miami Valley School Children

Matt Pasquinilli, Executive Director of the non-profit Asian Arts Center, and mindfulness coach, is bringing his movement based mindfulness training to schools in the Metro Dayton region. “When you help a child understand what focus looks like, give them an opportunity to move their bodies, and catch them in the act of behaving well in the classroom, their social skills and self-esteem grows.” Matt Pasquinilli said about the classes he teaches. “My goal is to give the teachers in traditional classrooms the same tools that I use to improve attentiveness and encourage mindful behavior at school and at home.” Pasquinilli said.

Courses available to schools and teachers range from two minute “Brain Boosting Breaks”, to 30 minute BomboTaiko, cardio drumming that uses exercise, music, and deep breathing as a kind of “active meditation.” Matt Pasquinilli also teaches mindfulness meditation for the classroom and teaches school teachers how to communicate directly and classroom behavior management techniques that use actionable definitions and positive recognition to reinforce good behavior.

Matt Pasquinilli is the author of several books, including, “The Child Whisperer” and “Behavior Coaching.”
